How to play Super Save
A 16-bit penalty shootout where you are always the goalkeeper. The whole screen maps onto the goal mouth, so pointing at the top-left corner sends the keeper diving to the top-left. The keeper moves at a capped speed, so you cannot teleport across the goal — reading the shot early is the skill. Watch the shooter’s wind-up: they lean toward the side they are about to hit. Shots also curve along a bezier path, so the ball’s launch direction is not always where it ends up. Every save scores a point, and three goals conceded ends the run.
Controls
- Point or drag anywhere on the screen to aim the keeper’s dive
- The full screen maps to the goal mouth, so you never have to touch the tiny goal itself
- Tap the speaker icon in the top-right corner to mute
Tips
- Read the wind-up lean. It is a genuine tell, and it is your only early information.
- Track the ball after it is struck — shots swerve more as the level climbs, so committing on launch direction alone will beat you.
- The keeper has a capped dive speed. Start moving toward the likely side during the wind-up rather than waiting for certainty.
- Early shots go central with long flight times. Bank saves there, because late shots go to the corners with far less reaction time.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Super Save free to play?
- Yes. It runs in your browser with no download and no sign-up.
- How does the run end?
- You concede three goals. Every save before that adds a point to your score.
- Do the shots curve?
- Yes. The ball follows a curved path with an offset control point, and the swerve gets stronger at higher levels.
