How to play Splat City
You are a bird flying over a scrolling city, rendered with a real perspective projection so buildings and cars lean away from the centre of the screen and you see their sides. It is a time attack: a sixty-second clock drains constantly, and every target you splat adds a second and a half back, up to a ninety-second cap. Consecutive hits build a combo multiplier up to ×5, and a single drop that hits nothing resets it. Score is points times combo, so the run is about keeping the chain alive rather than bombing indiscriminately.
Controls
- Drag anywhere to fly — the bird follows your finger with an upward offset so your thumb never covers it
- Quick tap to bomb, or use a second finger while you are steering
- Keyboard: arrow keys or WASD to fly, Space to bomb
- Tap the speaker icon to mute
Tips
- Lead your target. Drops fall as the city scrolls, so aim ahead of a moving car rather than straight at it.
- A miss resets the combo, so hold your drop until you are confident rather than spraying.
- Every hit buys +1.5 seconds. Keeping a steady hit rate is what extends a run, not any single big score.
- Pedestrians are kept clear of the buildings at the screen edges, so nothing is ever hidden from you.
